Which GPU for 24/7 Folding and 1080p gaming

My rig is equipped with 8gb vengeance ddr at 2400, i7 4790 at 4.4Ghz and an r9 270x at 1100mhz. It runs folding 24/7 even when gaming.
Not going to change my resolution anytime soon but would like a bit more folding fire power.
So suggestion please with a reason why.

Well, first off, you want to go Nvidia for f@h because 1) it does better; 2) it is better supported; 3) it is more power efficient. Considering you already have a 270x and would like an upgrade, plus you game at 1080p means the only choice is: the 970.

Which 970? I don't think it matters much, it's up to you. Personally I fall on the side of EVGA & Gigabyte. Don't go for the really fancy ones that are meant to be overclocked, it's a waste of money, overclocking leads to instability with f@h.
