N0 - not to buy! - but to put on older PC.

I was going to wait to upgrade the Graphics card on my newest Ryzen 5 3600 PC but the weekend - "Sapphire Radeon RX 6600 Pulse Gaming 8GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card @ £349.99 inc VAT" seemed pretty good SO without doing a lot of research - I have just bought it! I hope I have done the right thing in terms of value for money? I could have spent days looking at options but - jumped!

This leads me to another question: I now have my older "workhorse PC" = which has all my software on it, inlcuding Photoshop, office, email. The grandchildren use it for minecraft and for "Train Simulator".

It is a Core i7 920 2.7 GHz with 12GB of RAM running slightly overclocked at 3GHz - I now (will) have the choice of a GTX 1050Ti or the RX 570 (will be taken off Ryzen 5 PC when RX6600 arrives).

Which is the "better" graphics board of these 2 on the i7? - and is there a 2nd had market for the one I don't use? I will test on here in the members market if there is, once the new one is tested.

Thanks, Mel

The Rx 570 is faster than the 1050ti
The 1050ti uses less power than the Rx 570

If you have a PSU that will handle the Rx 570 then this is the obvious choice. If you dont, then use the 1050ti.

rx 570 is significantly faster, but like said above, it's easier to power 1050 if you have a weak psu. The rx 570 can be undervolted though, to have lower power and better efficiency.

As for the 6600, that deal is the best out there for that money, aside from nvidia drops I guess.

Thanks all. PSU ok. Will use RX570. Mel

(I did have a RX580 but lent it in a 3rd PC built from "left-overs" to my 14-year old grandson and seem to have "lost it" permanently!!! He thinks it's his now..... He's go into servers / coding etc and don't want to discourage him!!)
