Which GPU? Ordering in 1 hour!

fury is a stonking card for the money, especially since you have freesync,i think they had the nano at £320,not sure whether it sold out tho.

I did see that card but for £20 less and a better cooler I think the Nitro is probably the best, thing that really hurts me is I wanted to wait for Vega as coming from a 290 I feel like a Fury isn't going to be that much of a upgrade.

WOW time flys I didn't realize the R9 290 was released in back 2013
(Years just seem to disappear fast now days )

Yeah Nov 2013 was the release! TBH I have had my fair use out of it considering it cost me £235 but I just wanted another 3 months from it :o

Maybe I should just go for a really cheap second hand card that will support freesync, but I love gaming.

I'd love to switch to the green team but if I did that I'd end up with a 1080 but it hurts knowing Vega is going to be here soon and I want to be able to use my freesync. Was hoping Vega would be knocking on the door of a 1080 tbh. Maybe I should save the £300 and then upgrade the Fury later on...

If I had G-Sync I'd buy this but Nvidia makes me want to say f u and support freesync.

Not specifically. Nano isn't the same speed though as it throttles and down clocks. I have my Nano on water so it doesn't down clock and it over clocks reasonably well for a Fury based card.

Damn I'll probably just be best off with the Fury then, does the Nano throttle even at 100% fan speed? I've got 5 140mm fans in my case to help get the heat out of it. I'm also thinking that a Nano would have a better resale value later on if I want to upgrade to Vega.

nope they do the nano same chip as fury x but is lower clocked to keep thermals and power usage in check

I don't mind running the fan at 100% if it'd stop throttling but I think just a normal Fury cheaper and cooled better seems best. I'll keep looking here for advice and info but I think my mind is made up, unless a nano with a dual fan AIB is available for under £330.

Anyway I have now ordered a R9 Fury Nitro just hope Vega turns up really late now :P
