Hi
I have an 8800GTX and using Everest, there are two temperature readings. One is called GPU Diode and the other is just GPU. Which one should I be worried about?

Tbh neither ! If all your games work then just have fun and dont get hung up on temps !

If you really must know the diode would be the more accurate reading.

Remember the GTX will go to 110C - 120C before it throttles. shuts down at 127C iirc.

At idle temps, you should get about 65C, and load should be 80-90C with stock nvidia coolers.

the GPU Diode was going to 85C during COD4, which is why I made this thread. I can't believe that's normal

85c is nothing to worry about. However you might want to check for dust accumulation in the heatsink from time to time.

yeah, the diode is the one to go by and 85c is fine, but if you really want to make it run cooler you could add extra fans which blow onto the card and it should lower the temp a lot. If you haven't done so already you can use rivatuner to speed up the fan. I usually put mines at 80-90% and keeps things cool.
