hey

im currently buying the m5v mobo and i have the iv bridge 3770k cpu and im currently moddin gthe cosmos 2 case which is going to watercooled with 360 top and 2 140 rads in the bottom in 1 loop.

the only componment i havent reserched in is the gpu.

i will require two gpu or 1 depending on what you guys suggest and it will be watercooled.

main purpose is to run 3 monitors, play games, should be 3d capable, watch movies.

i have read things like 2 670 sli will bet 1 690 etc

i just want the best for my purpose and that it will last couple of year fuctureproof.

been suggested to get 7950, 670, 7970 but i dont have clue.

one might be good on its own and cost a lot and maybe i can get 2 which can outperform it and is cheaper.

hope you understand what i mean.

so guys please help me out

thanks

max budget is £350 i havent reserched on the monitors yet im still first time builder, im currently modding my case nad desining the loop but to finsh the design i need to inculde the gpu in the loop.

arc@css evry 1 is suggestin gto get the 7950 but why is this better then the 670 and 680 fron nivida and is it bette rthen 7970.

could some clerfy what the difference are and if i was to do 2 gpu which gpu to use or single gpu.

if i buy the 7950 and was to buy the water cooling block for it then could i just buy the chespest brand with unlock voltage.

or is there diference in brands input on the gpu

7950's are better value for money / big improvement since the 12.11 AMD driver release.

I think the one I linked is unlocked, though you might want to contact customer services about that. Also, as far as I know, MSI 7950's are unlocked, but I wouldn't risk buying one as they've had a lot of issues with that particular model lately. If I recall correctly, OcUK deal with any returns on HIS products for the first twelve months. After that, you would have to send it off to HIS (overseas - asia, I think).

The best firms for customer service / rma are Gigabyte, EVGA, KFA2 and MSI. Apparently Zotac are 'ok' as well.

thinking buying this based on good reviews but ive got few question http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-304-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1673

if i was to water cool this would ti get better temptures then stock fans it comes with.

also im wasting more money becasue of the stocks fans it comes with or im i paying more money becuse it has been tweked or does it come with better overclocking software or is here difference in the pcb i know it has unlocked voltage.

I know next to nothing about water cooling, though I can't see how an air cooled card could attain a lower temp than a w/c set-up.

You'll always pay extra for an overclocked card / non reference cooler. I can't comment on the overclocking software since I haven't used Sapphire's (called Trixx). I think I've read positive comments about it though.

what i me nt was whats the difference bewteen to ref 7950 to non ref 7950 other then the cooling fans.

which of the 7950 brands could i use water cooling block on it keeping in m ind thts it sunlocked voltage.

The main benefit of Watercooling is lowered noise and temperatures. So if you want to clock that card hard then Watercooling it is the way to go. Are you intending on Watercooling your CPU too?

Reference/ non reference differences can be: layout of the PCB, the cooling attached, or other component variations.

Ensure when you purchase a card and a waterblock you put it through the ekwb configurator
