- Ram: 2x 32gb Corsair Vengence Ram Sticks (DDR4)

What monitor resolution do you play at and what FPS do you want to hit.

Given an absolute cap of £600 your probably looking at the Nvidia 4070 and AMD 6800xt and 6900xt or waiting untill the AMD 7800xt

They are the best cards at that price mark. Depending on the resolution and FPS there may be cheaper cards that are of better value for you.

IMO I think that you are finding different answers as there are different views at the moment of what is important when buying a gpu. Also things like knowing what resolution you game at is important.
For a good cheaper option the 6700xt is a great upgrade from a 590, https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sapp...ddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-39k-sp.html
You can keep the money you save towards another upgrade at a later date.
Next up I would consider a 6800xt, if you think 16GB of vram is going to be important in the future. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asro...ddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-00b-ak.html

TBH though if I was buying something at £600 I would get a 4070 FE as you know that while you might have to reduce textures in the future you are getting good power usage & dlss3. We don't yet know if FSR3 will work on AMD 6000 series, and if so how well

If you're glued to the idea of Nvidia the only real option is the 4070, otherwise you're looking at a 6800XT or spending more to grab a 7900XT.

I'd personally save more for a 7900XT, I'd feel like I was getting ripped off buying a 4070 and while the 6800XT is a solid card it's not exactly cutting edge anymore.

Alternatively wait and hope AMD releases the 7800XT sometime soon.

If you have an ITX case which is on the small side, then the 4070 Fe will be even better than I said above as it runs reasonably cool and is on the smaller size
This footage of VRAm usage over 15GB shows why some people buy an older AMD 6000 series gpu with 16GB of vram over the 4070, https://youtu.be/ddyxpThjj5k?t=667
