Which graphics card for someone that plays the occational game?

Speccing up a system for someone, has around a £300 budget, looking at it at the moment he probably has upto £50 to spend on a graphics card that will see him through a few games where the minimum specs require 512ram on the card.

Could you suggest something as iv been out the gaming arena for a while?

Otherwise you will have to go down the second hand route of a 4850/70 or Nvidia 260.

I'd go down the second hand route - could get something like a 4770 for around £30.
