Which graphics card for Vista

Hi,

I am building a new PC for my Dad, and he will be using a 22" screen. Mostly he will be using it for general internet and email, with some occasional gaming.

I have a spec' based on a E2180, P35 motherboard and Vista, but unsure about the graphics card. Does the graphics card have to be directx10? What graphics card would be best?

Graphics card budget is £100 maximum.

Before I commit, anyone have any other suggestions? X1950 Pro maybe? 8600GT?

Get the 3850 its almost twice as fast as the 1950 pro for not much more money. Its the only card to get around 100 pounds tbh.

Nothing hardcore, maybe a little Second Life and a dabble with other games. But, he is using a 22" monitor, is this an issue?
