Hello

I am no pc expert so will try and keep it simple. I have a GTX 980 card but I think its time for an upgrade.

I play on a 1080tv and just want to max out the graphics and get as higher frame rate as possible on game ..... don't we all I hear you say.

I have an i5 4440cpu 3.10ghz and 4gb ram

What suggestion would you give guys?

Thanks in advance

The 980 is still a good card, especially for 1080p. Your TV is likely limited to 60 Hz and with your current CPU you will likely be CPU-limited in many modern games so save your money for a general upgrade once both Nvidia and AMD have released their next series of GPUs (possibly August).

But my frame rate is not so good on certain games, esp on Kingdom come deliverance surley a high end card will sort that and be future proof.....

in kingdom come the cpu will be the problem not the gpu. that game and some others really love extra threads. I had a 2500k 4.6 + 980 and the game was playable but still stuttered, I replaced it with a i7 2600 and the minimums improved by almost 100% just thanks to the extra threads.
very similar to whats seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAoisKyQyFs

also 4gb ram is a very low amount, 8gb should be the minimum nowadays

What you should do is fire up an overlay (e.g. Afterburner) which shows GPU usage and CPU usage. And RAM and VRAM usage too. Then you will see which component is getting maxxed out. You could instead put Task Manager and GPU-Z on a separate monitor. When looking at CPU usage you need to look at the per-core usage.

steam says the minimum for that game is 8 gig ram, a new card won't do much as it will be hindered by the rest of the system :(
