which graphics card to start with

hi im new to pc gaming, have always used consoles before but want to start upgrading my pc and use that from now on instead. Its not a great set up to start with but currently i5 2310 2.9ghz processor, 8g ram, and an integrated intel hd graphics card which is the bit I want to upgrade first. was looking at Asus GeForce GTX 650Ti. would this be a good start?

between 150 and 350 depending on if im approved for credit on the sites finance option lol.

spending around the 100 mark will I get a decent enough jump in performance or if this is a long term project does it make more sense to go more upmarket

and at what point will I need to upgrade the psu

Internal 300W (100V-240V), and 1920x1080

any advice on what to go for? how far with each is overkill etc. il upgrade everytjing eventually but the gpu and psu seemed like the obvious place to start.
