If your using photoshop 5 and before i would go for the 640 as they have cuda support however photoshop 6 and does not use Cuda or officially support any of the GPU's bar the 460 from your list. so i would go for that.

Mercury Graphics Engine
The Mercury Graphics Engine (MGE) represents features that use video card processor, or GPU, acceleration. In Photoshop CS6, this new engine delivers near-instant results when editing with key tools such as Liquify, Warp, Lighting Effects, and the Oil Paint filter. The new MGE delivers unprecedented responsiveness for a fluid feel as you work.

MGE is new to Photoshop CS6 and uses both the OpenGL and OpenCL frameworks. It does not use the proprietary CUDA framework from nVidia.

MGE requires a supported video card and updated driver. If you do not have a supported card, performance is degraded. In most cases, the acceleration is lost and the feature runs in the normal CPU mode. However, there are some features that don't work without a supported video card.

Tested video cards for Photoshop CS6
Adobe tested the following video cards before the release of Photoshop CS6*. This document lists the video card by series. The minimum amount of RAM supported on video cards for Photoshop CS6 is 256 MB.

Note: Adobe tested laptop and desktop versions of the following cards. Be sure to download the latest driver for your specific model. (Laptop and desktop versions have slightly different names.)

nVidia GeForce 8000, 9000, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 series

nVidia Quadro 400, 600, 2000, 4000 (Mac & Win), CX, 5000, 6000

AMD/ATI Radeon 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000 series

AMD/ATI FirePro 3800, 4800, 5800, 7800, 8800, 9800, 3900, 4900, 5900, 7900

Intel Intel HD Graphics, Intel HD Graphics P3000, Intel HD Graphics P4000

Note: ATI X1000 series and nVidia 7000 series cards are no longer being tested and are not officially supported in Photoshop CS6, but some basic GL functionality can be available for both these cards.

Thanks gav..knew all about what you put down, but Thanks anyway.
All the above cards I mentioned use OpenGL/Opencl and a lot more.
But can't make up me mind which is the best one or which one will work best with my mobo etc. I take it my PSU is good enough for any of them??
Trust Adobe to change the game and confuse everyone..lol
Will be using PSCS5 for a few months then switching to 6, so that is why I looking for a card that does it all but do not cost the earth.

At this very moment the gtx460 has discontinued in every place I been. lol So I shall use the Intel HD Graphics P4000 until I find a suitable card.
Cheers.

650W should be more than enough for what you need.

I use a 8600GT for photoshop 4 in my other PC but no good for photoshop 6.
I use a G210 in this pc that is not to bad with PSCS5 but No good for 6. So I'm trying to find a Good but not too expensive card that will work with PSCS5 and 6.

I might go for the Gigabyte GT640 OC 2048MB pcie3 but it takes up two slots. Not that I'm going to use the other slot below it anyway. Don't even know what will slot in that one anyway.

Or even the HD7750 OC 1gb pcie3. Toss a coin.
