which graphics card.....

I'd imagine you'd be fine.

I've run a dual core AMD PC with a 7800gt on a 250w delta branded psu in the past with no issues.

The 6600gt will certainly not draw more and i don't think the 6800gt would either.

Power supply ratings for GP's are generally a joke anyway.

My old PC ran an e2160 @ 3ghz and an ATi 3870X2 - at idle the PC used 189w and used 327w at full tilt.

Only thing to look out for is the 12v rails amp rating on the PSU - if you have that info we could probably say yay or nay for running it on your hardware. Also, the model of the PSU would be helpful too! :D

Its a Bestec xtx 259-12Z, input 100-127v~6A ,200-240v~30A, Output+12V/14A -12V 250Wmax +5V/25A +5VSB +3.3V/18A......+5 & +13.3 165W max +5V& +12V 218W max, dont know what all this means :)...hope u do...thanks...

Looks like your 12v rail is a tad too weak as the specs suggest the 6800GT requires 18a rather than the 14a your PSU supplies.

You'd probably be able to run a 6600GT fine but a 6800GT may push it a tad too far.

Do you have any other PSU's lying around that you could use?
