Which Graphics card?

I'c currently thinking of upgrading my gtx260, my budget is around £250 and i game at 1920 1080.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Won't be within his budget until Kepler arrives in what appears to be Q2 and even then we don't know exactly how the prices will fall. By that point it could be worth waiting for the 8XXX series.

that 6970 is cracking value for money. If i was going to blow £250 on a single card this would be it.

There is not a big gap between the 6950 and 6970 and with a decent OC you can get similar performance to a 6970. But with the sort of value you can get at £250 for a 6970 is amazing I would just go for it.

I got a 580 Twin frozr for £350 a month or so ago and I thought that was an ok deal but for a 6970 at that price with similar performance to a 580 anyway is crazy.

the 6970 sounds good, do you think my corsair TX650 psu is going to supply enough juice though?

Yeah that quality PSU will be fine with a 6970. In fact a good quality 550w PSU could probably run one so you even have room. I ran a 6990 with a TX750 with no problems.

if your too tight/poor to get 7970 quadfire on liquid nitrogen then i suppose the 6970 will do, personally id feel ashamed though, you really should get your priorities right, do you have any kids you could sell? or possably part with a kidney?
