ok easy question should i get a GTX 590 or a ati HD 6990 4GB. Im putting together my PC on Build your Box and chose everything else just wanna know which is best out of these 2. thanks

To be honest, I wouldn't go with either.
The HD 6990 is hot and very loud while the GTX 590 has an unfortunate tendency to melt.
Howabout a nice GTX 580 for £350? there isn't much this won't play (unless you want to play over three screens or very high resolutions). You also have the option of adding a second in SLI in the future (so long as the motherboard and PSU support it).
May I ask what the rest of your spec is what monitor resolution you will be using?
