Which GTX 970?

Hi all.

Thanks to all the inputs in a previous thread I have decided to go for a GTX 970 as a GPU upgrade. But I can see there are quite a few variants. Does anyone know which is rated as the best of the bunch?

I'd go for the Msi myself.

Windforce or MSI due to the current prices.

Your board may need the latest BIOS and check your cases dimensions to check something like a Windforce fits.

Learn something every day. I didn't know you might need to update your bios when getting a new GPU. Will try to remember that in the future!

Why is that though btw? I don't recall it being an issue 6+ years ago?

Its because the board pre-dates the cards.

Not all boards need it, but the D3H which he has is famous for needing it doing.

Apparently the Z9 can accept GPU's of up to 290mm so that rules the biguns out.
Is there much difference between them performance wise?
