unfortunately the deal on the KFA2 GeForce GTX 680 EX OC 4096MB ended 2 days before i got paid, so im thinking of getting the MSI GTX 680 lightning or the KFA2 GeForce GTX 680 LTD OC V2 2048MB.

i know the prices of the 680 are obscene but i dont plan on OC the card yet hence why im getting the 680 over the 7970.

which are is better out of the ( MSI 680 lightning ) or the ( KFA2 680 LTD V2 ) ?

cheers

You could save yourself a fair few pounds and get a 670. Personally if I had that choice when I bought mine on day 1 release of the 680, I would have got a 670.

If you are determined to get a 680 though, I am a big fan of EVGA purely for the warranty but also the KFA2 has a great warranty also. The Lightning is a great pre OC card and also comes with voltage adjustment upto 1.21V. As you don't plan on overclocking, maybe stick with the KFA2 or look at the EVGA.

Go with the lightning over the ltd o/c

If not overclocking you won't notice a difference, but the kfa2 has rubbish outputs.

Tbh if not overclocking then and decent 680/670 will do.

Also: lighting voltage control is up to 1.275~ ish volts on the core. Plus memory and aux voltage options.

I noticed linus posted a video yesterday featuring a guy from msi and they mentioned that the 680 lightning / 670 power edition has software overvoltage control. It was called 'the MSI graphics advantage'. Where's that video now? ;). I smell nvidia's big green fingers in this.

my experience of pallit cards is that they always have a couple of good reviews out there with high OC's but actual production cards don't OC at all

my experience of their warranty is also that they will do everything they can to avoid doing anything and take ages to respond

I steer clear of all pallit/gainward products now after a bad experience

to be honest, if you are going to get a 680, you may as well go balls out and get the lightning, or save money and get;

but then if saving money is your thing you'd be better off with;

Also the cheapest for this performance and the warranty would be through OCUK.
It is the second quietest 680 at load I've found after the Lightning.
You pays your money and you makes a choice...

Check it thoroughly as soon as you get it, so that you can always use the DSR if necessary.
VERY interested what you think of the card. Have been looking at them myself.

Well after thinking bout it I can't justify the price hike over the 670, so I'm gunna order the KFA2 gtx 670 ex oc 2gb. also able to get the vat taken off though the business so only going to be paying £274.99

ok so iv just installed my new card MSI gtx 670 PE OC and installed the new drivers 301.42 and iv seem to run into couple problems :

1. when i move my mouse over a icons or text that has been linked too something i get flickering on the text ??

2. im running it off my 1080p tv but for some reason when i select 1920x1080 the screen stretches and the windows taskbar and icons move off screen?

anyone got any ideas on what happening ?
