Hi All

Ive been waiting for the GTX780 to come down in price and now they have im not sure which one to go for.

I dont really overclock my graphics cards so im looking for one thats allready got a good clock on it. I currently have a Asus Direct CUII GTX580 but was thinking of going for a different brand id like to have a 2 slot gpu as my current one is 3 slot which i didnt really think of at the time for SLI, price wise im happy to go up to £440 maybe alittle more if its worth it.

so can anyone suggest which would be the best brand?

Thanks

Sam :)

Is thew Asus DCUII a 2 lot ot 3 slot card for the 780? my asus gtx 580 is 3 slot and i dont want another 3 slot just incase i go for SLI

Thanks for all the advice so far though :)

Went for the MSI Gaming 780...cancelled my 7990 order...thinking maybe 770 would have done for 1080p gaming but I do some streaming also.

Let's hope it wasn't a foolish decision!

seriously looking at the Gigabyte windforce, but never had a gigabyte gpu before

I have the 670 windforce, it overclocked very well and silent as you like.

I've gone for the Phantom GLH though, higher clocks out of the box and not really too far off the dearer superclockers when overclocked.

I have 2 of them (paid £519 each on release) and I love them. In fact I love them that much the price drop hasnt bothered me as I have had loads of fun with them and Im content with the horsepower they provide

I've gone for the WF 780. Had been eyeing this card for a while but wasn't prepared to pay £500+ and wanted to see what AMD would deliver with the 290x.

However, it'd got to the point where I'd been holding off long enough and at £410 + 3 games (2 of which I wanted anyway) it seemed as good a time as any to take the plunge :D

I'm going from a Windforce 7970 and I really couldn't have been happier with the card - great cooler, pretty quiet under load and I had the peace of mind of Gigabyte's UK based RMA service, which is meant to be one of the best.

Good choice, that card with 3 games, great deal.
