So i have decided to go for a hardtail but am looking for something thats a "keeper" so a good frame is very important.
I have narrowed it down to a couple of bikes, each one for each material, question is which one?
Aluminium
Canyon Al8
heres the link

Great spec, SID forks ect, but unsure how good the frame is and how good the DT swiss X 1700 wheels are??
Steel
Rock Lobster 853(was going to go with Cotic soul but too exspencive and would cost too much to make it good)
Is steel springy though to ride? as steels selling point is pretty much this, not bad value Rebas ect.
Carbon
On-ONE 456, what else for carbon
, im looking at the trial SLX

Looks pretty good, but worried about how good On-Ones wheels are and the Avid Elixir 3 brakes will be.
advice welcome.
