Which hardware for Adobe Illustrator cs3

Hi folks this is my 1st thread, can you help?
I need to build a pc to run adobe Photoshop and mainly Illustrator. My budget is 600 ish without a monitor.What should I look for. I will soon be upgrading to CS4

That sounds good. Its been a long time since i last built a PC can I presume the socket AM3 is new so if I wanted to update the CPU later it should not be a problem.
Would it be worth wile adding an extra GPU once I have the cash?
Is it still cheaper to build my own PC?

No point of adding a extra gpu if your mainly going to do photoshop and it's still much cheaper to build your own pc.
