Hi,

I'm wondering which of these 2 cpu's will be the best choice.

4000+ (SD core) which is 2.4Ghz 1mb cache
or
3800+ X2 (not sure what the current core is, DDR compatable) 2.0Ghz 512k cache but obviousloy dual core.

Could the 3800+ clock to 4000+ speeds and be comparable or better performance?

Fire..

can oc the 4000+ probs atleast to 2.8ghz maybe 3ghz, the 3800 is a bit more random, could be a good clocker, could be a bad one. to be honest though, dual core is the way to go now if your buying either id say the 3800 for that reason alone, whether it clocks as well as the 4000+ or not

thanks mikeymike looking at the stats the dual core is better for some things over the 4000+ when both are at stock anyway so I imagine it would be the same when overclocked. Still not sure which one to go for though, I mainly play games so I want it to be the best for gaming really.
