I'm looking to go to Hawksmoor in London for my birthday in a few weeks.

Which Hawksmoor is the best one to go to or are they all pretty much equal?

I want to get my steak on:)

I like Guildhall personally, having been to 3 of them (Spitalfields and Air Street) multiple times. You go downstairs and they have a nice restaurant area and a bar.

I really liked Goodmans as well, price is very similar but you can't go wrong with either.

I've only visited Guildhall but have done so a few times and really enjoyed it every time.

Triple cooked chips are good but not quite as nice as their beef dripping fries which they took off the menu :(

I've not eaten at the Knightsbridge restaurant, but have been to Seven Dials once, Air Street and Guildhall a fair bit and Spitalfields loads, and I'd always recommend Spitalfields. It's more intimate and down to earth.

Guildhall is big and fun, but very City, whereas Air Street is simply loud, very loud and gaudy. Plus I've only had one good meal in Air Street, the rest have been average compared to their other locations. Seven Dials was decent though, however I'd recommend Spitalfields.

I'm with you tosh. I've done all but Knightbridge a number of times and my fav for atmosphere is Spitalfields. Great with a bunch of friends and a long lunch.

Ribs to start. Any steak of choice. Mac n cheese, spinach, triple cooked chips, bone marrow gravy as your sides. Shakey Pete for your drink and a sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream to finish.

Rejoice.

Been to Seven Dials a couple of times, bust and noisy but still fine in terms of atmosphere, food good but a way off of being outstanding

Virtually the same, although Stilton hollandaise sauce and peanut chocolate shortcake for desert. Those ribs, aaahhhhh.

I live about 10 minutes door to door from the Spitalfields place, and their decision to stop doing Saturday breakfasts a few years back was probably the best and worst day of my food-eating life. I loved those sharing breakfasts so much, but going once every two or three weeks was having a severely detrimental effect on my health :p

I've only been to the Spitalfields one myself but it was a great atmosphere in there as many others have said and the food is fantastic.

Another plus side to Spitalfields is that there are a few wine bars nearby as well if you want to go for pre and or post meal drinks.

Assuming it's anything like the Manchester one I actually enjoyed the 50 day aged rump steak more than any of the others (and we pretty much tried them all side-by-side). Normally rump is my least favourite steak too.
