Hi All

I'm looking at upgrading my CRT to a shiny new LCD or Plasma, ready for SKY HD later on.

I would be grateful for any recommendations as to whether to go with Plasma or LCD and to which manufacturer offers the best value for money.

Price range could
be up to £1500

Thanks

Rich.

have a look at DLP Rear Projection TV, if i had the money i would go for one of these 50" versions starting at £900, plus better picture than plasmas

82.7x118.4x40.8 (H/W/D)cm for a Sony 50inch 3lcd rear projection hd ready tv

same or less than a normal tv

I personally would recommend the sony 50" dlp. (only because I have one :D)

The unit is fantastic and is about the same depth as most standard stands that you will get for most lcd/plasma tv units.

or get a projector for 1500 smackers with 92" screen and ceiling mount. Like I have here

I have that exact same amp. Do you run the sky and the dvd through the amp then use just one component to the PJ?

Only asking because my amp doesn't up-convert composite and s-video signals to component.

The only thing I have running into my amp is the 360 via component. The dvd player and Sky are both rgb scart. I use the scart to vga adapter that comes with the PJ then the other end of the vga i use the dvi adapter to plug into the PJ.

The amp is probably the best amp I have had and seen/heard for a very long time very good indeed.

Ahh very true, totally missed that other lead going into the PJ. :o
