I want to change the hard disk on the PS3 before I start installing games.

Which HDD are best for the PS3, any recommendations?

Sorry if this has been posted before but I really am rubbish at searching I either get 50 pages of threads or none :(
 
Not so worried about capacity just suitability 250 would be nice and it's a nice price range I just wanted to know what type of drive I required.

Details are in the FAQ no need to search, anyway any 2.5" sata 5400 rpm drive will be fine.
 
Ok thanks for that I'll just pick the largest one that I can afford then.
 
careful with oversized 2.5" drives, some of the early large capacity ones (300gb+) i think were made too tall

not sure if hitachi are the best laptop drives anymore, i still stick with samsung and seagate
 
If you're going to do a HD swap in a PS3 do it right!
320GB Western Digital Scorpio - job done...forever.
