Which HDD imaging App to create a bootable image

What does anyone recommend for creating a bootable HDD image onto multiple Cd's/DVD's.

I ask for a bootable image as its for a friends PC and I just want to backup his HDD so if anything goes wrong, all he has to do is boot from the disc and away he goes.

have looked at the latest Ghost... but the program seems seriously crippled compared to previous versions.

Is there a previous version of Ghost or anything else which someone could recommend?

With Acronis True Image(I'm using v8)you can create a rescue CD. Using this, you can boot into the True Image s/w suite. You can then restore an imaged drive from either CD or DVD(or an internal hard drive if you have one).
