Good afternoon all,

Looking for some new headphones in the region of £15-20.
Currently, I'm using Sennheiser Earbuds, Sony 'over-the-ear's and the stock headphones that came with my Meizu M6 (not bad considering).

Decided to try out the 'in-ear' style 'phones, and see how they perform.
Been looking around, and found these:

  • Skullcandy Smoking Buds
  • Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket (These stretch the budget a bit, but I've heard good things about them)
  • Sony MDR-EX85
  • Sennheiser CX300 / CX500

What's everyone's opinions on these?

Thanks.
I was looking to purchase some (the red ones :P) but the only cheap place that has them is an auction site. Anybody purchased some off there that were definitely genuine (seller's ID would help :D).

Only the white ones are available cheaply, can get them for less than £14 now. Not from ebay either.

Sony MDR-EX85 can get the black ones now for £14-99 the white ones are £13-99

I know your looking for 'in ear' phones but ditch that idea now and get the Koss Porta Pro's, the best pair of cans on the planet for under £20 for a fact, trust me.

You can google them for 17.99inc delv which is a bargain.

I was going to mention these too.

For in-ear phones I can recommend the EX85s.

I've got some Ultimate Ears Metro.Fi 100, which cost me £17.99. I replaced my old Sonys with them and they sound fantastic.

Apparently those SkullCandy ones are based on the Soundwise G4. Google them; from the sound of it they are exceptional phones, and a little cheaper than the SkullCandy ones despite being the same!
