Am looking for a set of headphones that dont cause an annoying wind whirring noise when on a bike. Currently using a set of sony in-ear ones that do cause the whirring noise. Havent tried the in-ear bud style ones. Has anyone come across this problem and found a solution - dont want any of the big style headphones - in-ear style.

Have looked at the sony MDR-NC11 Noise Cancelling Headphones but at £60 i want to make sure they def do the job before getting them

Suicide... If you really want to wear headphones whilst cycling wear those that don't totally isolate you from enviromental noise.

Yeah i know - i normally just use one earphone or have volume really low but if i have good earphones that block out outside noise and whirring then id just use one side

Don't buy noise isolation, or sony earphones.

I have just got a pair of westone UM-1's. £60 ($99) from a certain company in the, but i can't link as they will be a competitor. Go over to head-fi.org and those guys will sort you out with the right IEM for you.
