Just wanted to know whos using the original headset with their xbox360??, i havent used it tbh, still in its plastic bag lol:p.

The one ive been using is the Halo2 limited edition plantronics headset which seems to be a good headset but find that it keeps slipping off my ear no matter which earplugs i use and also the mic boom isnt that good tbh.

Anyways i heard rumours that there might be a wireless one out soon and also heard that plantronics have released a few new 360 headsets ie x10 and x20.

Personally id like a wireless one as the one i have currently i keep pulling the cable out of the plug and yes it does work even though it was meant for the original xbox:p.

The official MS 360 headset is better than the one for the original xbox imo. It's lighter and fits over the top of your head instead of going round your neck.

I dunno about any of the other ones but the official one that came with my premium crackles a lot.. like a loose wire at the connecting end or something. Seems pretty cheapo plastic to me but it works.

Yes thats what it is, give MS a ring they had a new one with me in 2 days.

I'm waiting for the wireless bluetooth one to come out, that should be better.

Aye, I use the official 360 premium too and it crackles when you adjust the wire. A bit flimsy if you ask me.

But yes, the wireless one they are introducing shortly should hopefully be a helluva lot better.

Heres the wireless one M$ announced at E3 looks proper sexy

Dunno how it works though? Presume it connects directly to the 360 rather than connecting to the pad.

Have you tried superglue and a nailgun to keep it in place? Worked for me. I'll pop round and nail it to the side of your head if you like. :p

Crikey i got too many, some of them i havent touched for awhile...namely Top Spin2 as i cant really get to grips with it tbh:p...so ill be selling or trading it in very soon. Other than that i have:

PGR3
GRAW
Fight Night3
Madden Football
Burnout Revenge
Need for Speed MW...which im currently hooked on...trying to get my beemer back from that arrogant ***** Razor:p.

Hmmmn looking at my list im going to have to sell a few to make way for some new ones lol, think FN3 and Top Spin2 will be the first to go.

Depending on price I might go for a wireless headset as long as the mic mute button is still in an easy to find place as I only tend to switch the mic on when I'm talking to people or likely to need to talk soon.

I reckon it might have a mini-wireless transmitter which plugs into the existing microphone slot on the controller? Or as someone else says it could connect to the console directly and have the mute button on the earpiece itself.

That'll be about right. Not had a chance to get on the 360 for a while thanks to wife, child and decorating commitments.
Should hopefully get on tonight - depends if I can stay awake after work for long enough.

Actually that makes a lot of sense. Cool, should suit me down to the ground. Half the reason I don't use my headset all the time online is that the cable drives me mad.

I just listened to Major Nelsons latest blogcast which includes an interview with the accessories guy and he explains about all the new accessories. Regarding the wireless headset the main points are:-

-Communicates directly with the 360 using 2.4Ghz Wireless
-Internal battery charged via mains adapter like your mobile phone
-Mute button and volume Up/Down on the outside
-Button on innerside to assign to a controller No. 1-4

I just got the original xbox headset from ebay and it doesnt connect to the 360 controller, only the small connector thing does minus the mute and volume control section of the thing.

Any ideas or am I screwed with no volume and mute if i use the orginal one with the 360 controller?
