Hey guys this ones just a short message from my brother who has been looking for a headset for gaming on pc, i myself use the Turtlebeach x41 (designed for xbox360) and have no problems with it, but my brother is looking for a pc gamers opinion on pc designed headsets, here is his question.
Hi, I'm trying to choose between the Corsair HS2 (USB) & the HS1A (3.5mm Jack) headsets, the usb version has sound proccessing electrontic, but likely ignores the sound hardware/settings i currently use, but it claims to be well designed and has dolby tech & 3d sound emulation for games.
My soundcard is a realtech HD onbard (MSI GX740 Laptop)
which i'm not sure of in terms of functionality & quality, i use integrated speakers or IEMS mostly,
im not sure if the sound card has all the "Bells & Whistles" because i tried somebodys 'turtle beach' ( Turtlebeach x41) headset which sounded very different and when the special sound processing ( Dolby Digital Pro Logic II)
was enabled it was very pronounced.
which i guess would be similar on the HS1 so i think potentially the two models of headsets would sound very different, but i don't know which i'd prefer
( i don't know much about audio by the way)
