Looking for a decent quality hub for the apple macbook air m4 2025. basic user so i guess i would get away with a usb-c hub looking for a good selection of ports.
what is considered a good quality hub price range maybe £100 max

Depends on what you're after really. If you just want more USB ports then get a dumb hub with no fancy features. SSK/UGreen have some good cheap options (under £20) that will give you 4-5 ports. Just make sure they're USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps hubs.

If you want PD, HDMI/DP, Ethernet or other ports then you need to be quite careful of the specs to make sure they have what you need. If you go thunderbolt (for better ports / faster speeds) then prices will go up quite considerably.

I have this UGreen one, which I use when I take my MacBook Air to the office and connect the monitor/keyboard/mouse up. Has ethernet, PD and HDMI. If you need more USB ports you may want to look at the next model up.
