Which indestructible distro?

I've used Linux before for a bit so my knowledge on it is a little sketchy and not up to date obviously. I'm looking (not for me though) for a dumbproof distro mainly to use for web browsing.

My req are:
Stupidly easy to use
Good compatibility (will be using wifi, flash etc.)
Less configuration settings or that is available to the user the better. Or only admin has access?
Robust and secure.

My concern are viruses and malware. How immune are linux distros from it? Firewall?

Ubuntu is the obvious choice. A lot of people seem to recommend Mint as an alternative but I've never used it.

No need for concern over viruses/malware

I recommend Ubuntu, the support community is massive as well as very good out of the box support.
