I need to chosse a new CPU for my mini ATX 1150 mobo, it going to be used manly for Video Editing in Premier Pro and some gaming. My budget is around the £150-70 mark and 2 CPU's i've looked at are a Core i5-4690K and a i7 4790S.

Now the i5 K chip can be overclocked but don't think the i7 S chip can be overclocked as its locked, well so i'm lead to believe.

Any thoughts what people would go for, will the i7 when boosted be better than a OC'ed i5 chip

If I was not going to overclock manually I'd buy a 4790k, That's because it's base clock is what the others boost to meaning it's significantly faster than all the other i7's. I've run a 4770k at stock and a 4790k at stock and there is a difference.

4790k is a extra £100, my budget is £150ish ;)
