One-for-All's Kameleon URC8206 universal remote control operates up to 6 devices of any brand, including TV, VCR, DVD and SAT/Cable (including Freeview Boxes). The remote is unique in terms of features, functionality and ease of use. Its innovative electro-luminous display shows only the keys that are needed to operate the selected equipment for unprecedented ease of use. Its keys have a tactile feel that make operating control more reassuring. In other words the One-for-All Kameleon combines the advantages of a traditional remote control and the benefits of a LCD touchscreen.

Any others I should consider?

Edit -

Virgin Media Box
Maranatz amp

Will any work for xbox?

Have you ever used a touchscreen remote? I have, they're rubbish. You need to look at them do press anything, so you can't use it blind (you probably use existing TV remotes without looking at them) I've had a similar one to that bottom one, rubbish as customisation was incredibly limited.

For for a hard button/non LCD screen combo remote. ie one of the Home Theatre Master/URC remotes.

There's internet retailer, dunno if I can mention them. Similar do Play-Do.

i've got a sunwave. had one for years. tbh, especially for the price, its the best touchscreen remote ive used. its a nice size, its customisable enough and the backlight is very bright and clear. it also lasts a decent time on 3 rechargable triple a's :)

the only thing its missing imo is a hard volume button, but that's minor really. again, for the price (i paid £30 new nearly 4 years ago), its a very nice remote.

Have a look at the logitech harmony products, they seem to be fairly well regarded.

As LazyManc says ... Forget the above two and go with a logitech harmony, excellent remotes, and will do anything and everything you need.

Thanks for the replies anyone got the LOGITECH HARMONY 688
whats it like?
How much can you program. Can you program a button to do several things Like switch on tv, amp, virgin and change amp to Tv with one simple button?

I've got a couple of Logitech Harmony 785 remotes. You can program to do multiple operations as part of an activity. All buttons can be customised. Not touchscreen so much easier to use in the dark (it even has a nice blue backlight that lights up the keys if you need to see them). Very easy to use. Massive database of currently supported devices. Logitech support is freephone and very good....
I could go on. Awesome remote.
