Please play nice or i'll close the thread.

Seriously a name like King Arthur and you choose that owen gimp as your signiture version of King Arthur. I'd rather use the disney version :p

PC obviously, I've been playing a lot of Age of empires 2 recently and it has a lot less tearing than many Ps3 or xbox games.

Guys its not that stupid a question.

PC's have the best graphics processing power. Their max graphics are 99% of the time limited by the game engine and not the hardware, whereas the opposite is generally true on consoles. However, with the stunning levels of optimisation for the consoles, games on the PS3 (and sometimes Xbox) look better than other games on the PC, Gran Turismo 5, for example, began to be released when there was no decent looking racing game or simulator on the PC, and to my eye is the second best looking game out right now, after Crysis Warhead.

The level of hardware advancements in PC's right now has put them back ahead of consoles despite the limited optimisation possible with such a varying platform, but to say graphics on PC's are always better than on the consoles is not true, for example games like MW2 look exactly the same on all consoles and platforms, the only potential difference on PC being support for higher resolutions and 3d displays.

PC's have more graphics power, however consoles use their power much more efficiently than PC's, and so can outperform PC's which are specced several hundred's of pounds higher than them in raw hardware with good optimisation.

No sorry, Although i see where you are coming from the question is which offers the best graphics between the 3, and although art direction does give consoles fantastic looking games. Every single game on consoles could be done on PC and probably look better for it. The same can definately not be said for the reverse

10 days til PermaBan. Good run, Cloud.

In the end, it always comes down to money. If you want the best graphics, you'll pay a premium for it, either in the shape of the latest PC hardware or the newest console (anyone els remember the price of PS3 on release?). By the time consoles become much more affordable than PCs, the PCs you're shelling out for are gonna be a cut above the console hardware, and you'll still be paying a premium for the best. I've got minimal overheads and no financial sense at all, so I'll stik with PCs unless I'm forced to do otherwise (for the likes of, say, FFXIII, lly expected to be a sucker punch. I was not wrong).

Amiga A1200 ... owns them all, LOL

As has been said any reasonable recent PC graphics card technically has way more graphical power than either the 360 or PS3. The uniform platform of the consoles do make them easier to get more out of than the widely varying PC specifications, but that doesn't make up for the gulf in power.

For the most part it doesn't, but with games like Uncharted 2 and GT5 it certainly has.

yes they could potentially look nicer on pc's, but when the gt5 prologue came out there weren't really any pc's that could have run that game well with less than 3 graphics cards.

I cant see that being the case to be honest. In 2007 there were 8800GTX cards on the market. If prologue was designed with PC in mind, there's no way it would need a tri-SLI setup. Wouldnt even require dual, not to just do what the PS3 is doing, maybe to run above the PS3 spec with AA and higher res, then you'd start needing more, but i doubt a tri-SLI setup would be needed even then

Wii, obviously. Have you seen the Miis? The sheer number of polygons, the bump-mapping, the specular lighting.. those Miis sure do look lifelike.
