That MX is a geforce 4 - albeit a completely stripped down one.

MX4xx series of cards were based on the Geforce 2 GTS platform, and as such are not Geforce 4's even cut-down ones.

Just been to customers house, he has old crap PC, his sons new game wont run on G-Force4 MX 4XX, (installs wont start) min specs are G-Force 2 GTS so thats probably true either the lowend G4 are lower end G2 tech or just thats G2 GTS is mid/high end and G4 MX is low end, I had G 2 GTS ULtra in 2001.

I seem to remember one of 1st games not to support G-Force 4 MX range was Thief 3 Deadly Shadows (think titles correct) and this was offical in the games spec .Doc.

There were several Geforce 2 MX cards:

MX200
MX
MX400

The MX200 had a lower clockspeed and a 64bit SD memory interface, the MX\MX400 are 64bit DDR\128bit SD and clocked higher.

None of the cards mentioned in this thread support pixel shaders, but the fastest is the Geforce 2 Ultra followed by the GTS then the GF4 MX.
