I don't have an agp board at the moment so I can't test.

Radeon 9500 Pro 128mb
or
Geforce FX 128mb (unknown model - think it might be 5200 or 5500)
 
9500pro. It's faster (a lot) and handles dx9 titles better. Neither of them will do shader 3.0 (dx9.0c) games though so look at minimum requirements, as a few games need it now
 
I used to have a 9500 pro. I could manage Half Life 2 at 1024x768 on fairly high settings with it.

It was a brilliant card for mid range, and quite ahead of its time. In terms of raw power it's quite similar to some of today's lower end cards.
