Hi guys i need a new sofa but which upholstery is better or longer lasting Polypropylene upholstery Or Bonded Leather upholstery ?

Thanks In Advance

From the time I spent in the furniture industry, many years ago, bonded leather is better, basically the leather off cuts ground up and glued together, with similar properties to whole leather skins, but of course, cheaper. Not heard of PP leather, but you may mean PU? PU leather is a leather look plastic, and generally cheap - in the past it was sticky as it does not absorb moisture (sweat) and can peel after time with wear or in humid / warm conditions. I would never recommend PU leather.

Things may have changed in 15 years though!

PU is Polyurethane, Polypropylene is generally fairly durable.

Like PU it isn't itself absorbent (spills/moisture) though composite use of it might vary that - I believe it is less prone to the kind of cracking and peeling wear that PU based materials tend to suffer from all to readily.

Which is better will probably depend on the quality of the production of the furniture itself they both have their pros and cons.
