Just about to do some upgrades

I'm staying with XP pro for now

Probably going for an Asus P35 board with a 6600

So do I stick with 2x1 gig 2x2 gig or 4x1 gig

I will be overclocking only on air though

Cheers

If you can try and get at least PC6400 in 2 x 2Gb sticks as the prices really are absolutely on the floor at the moment.

GeIL 4GB PC2-6400 C5 Black Dragon

This any good ?

I cant believe how cheap ram is i paid £160 for 2 gig of corsair value about 2 years ago

I can see it going up once the factories switch to ddr3

Hello Chabsy, you would be far better of with 4GB of 6400 than 2GB of 8500 and for the price that you have seen the Black Dragon kit for, then defiantly, without a doubt, go for that. I would be very surprised if you could actually notice the difference between 8500 and 6400 in day to day tasks. :)

I have been reading up a bit and as i am still using xp 32 getting 4 gig will be pointless

I can only see 4 gig being useful for video work and only if I use a 64 bit OS, but not for games
