Hello all :)

I have recently purchased a new gaming system from overclockers and it comes with a Nvidia GTX650 Ti Boost 2GB card. I currently have an MSI GTX560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC 2GB card in my old system.

I do not know much about graphics cards other than I need them to play games :p but my friend told me that my MSI GTX560 is a better card than the GTX 650 Ti Boost card.

Is this true? If not I will sell my old card but if it is true then maybe I would be better swapping out the cards when my new system is delivered.

Thanks for any advice in advance

Colin.

The easiest place to look for a head to head comparison is AnandTech's GPU Bench. They haven't yet added the 650Ti Boost to the chart, but here is the 560Ti vs 650Ti. The 560Ti seems to be a fair bit stronger, however you have to add a few frames to each 650Ti result to account for the boost.

I think you would actually get more performance and more money by putting in the 560Ti. I suspect that the newer card will have much higher resale value.

Thanks a lot for your fast replies, much appreciated. Will need to do some research. I may contact overclockers and ask their opinion.

Actually, looking at the results from 660 vs. 560Ti, it seems that the 650Ti Boost should outperform the 560Ti or be comparable to it in most situations. Therefore, it seems that the 650Ti Boost would be the card to stick with.

Ok thank you very much. I will sell my old card as I have been offered £140 for it, which seems a good price as I paid £200 for it in December 2011
