Hi ,

The 8-8-8-24 are tighter timings so in theory they should be snappier , however you will not notice a thing between them. I have 9-9-9-24 mem and its great. Very speedy and since its cheaper why not. ??

8-8-8-24 is faster than 9-9-9-24. Those numbers the response times of the RAM.

Unless all you do is run 3dmark 2001 then you won't get any noticable performance boost between memory running the timings above.

Perhaps a slightly lower superpi time.

So yeah if you are crazy about getting the best benchmark scores then get the memory with tighter timings.

In everyday tasks especially gaming you won't see any benefit.

For the sake of a pound I would go with the faster ones, but in reality you're not going to be able to tell any different, they might overclock further though.

For the sake of a pound i would also go for the Cas8.

They will all be made on the same production run and then binned into different product classes depending on testing. Cas8 does indicate a slightly higher quality run.
