Are the 5850/5870 Ati cards longer than a GTX 285 ?

afaik its only the rev2 5870 sapphire that have them at the back, all others are on the side

5850 is 9.5 inches, gtx285 is 10.5 inches and 5870 is 11 inches if i remember.

The rev 1 cards had the connectors on the side but the newer ones are all at the back. I think you will struggle to get your hands on a rev 1 mind but may be worth asking about if you definitely need the extra space.
