Which is more feminine or is neither?

Gin and Tonic vs Vodka and Tonic

Now I know the real men beer drinkers are going to come on here and say anything other than beer (and/or whiskey) are pansies. But that's NOT the discussion.

you are telling me!

During Uni I drank vodka&coke but when it got to the stage i could drink a silly amount of vodka I switched to whiskey. Since then I've been a beer and whiskey drinker. Occasionaly vodka and coke, cocktails, etc.

I was at a mates sat in the sun on the weekend and everyone was having gin and tonic, not being the biggest fan of gin I asked for a vodka and coke - no coke. So i got a vodka and tonic, cue a few guys and a couple of girls saying it was girly. Granted i was squeezing the lemon rather seductively at that moment - but still strange comment I thought.

I'd probably say that vodka and tonic was the more likely of the two to be drunk by ladies but that may be simply because I like a good gin and tonic on occasion (Tanqueray and Schweppes as a matter of preference).

Simple answer though is drink what you like and stuff what other people think of it, if you can't handle a bit of mickey taking then I'd suggest leaving the house is likely to continually be a bit of a traumatic experience for you. ;)

Even though I'm not a gin fan Tanqueray is nice. Bit stronger than BomSaph but a lovely aroma.

As for the mickey taking - most of my friendships are built on "banter" but as it was the first time i'd had the drink it did leave me wondering...if I went on a date and ordered it what would my date be thinking?

All in all it's not G-H-E-Y but maybe stick to the whiskey.

yeh id say vodka tonic is more girly.
i work in a pub and iv seen many many woman drink both g + t's and vodka + tonics, iv also seen 2 men drink gin + tonic however no men drink vodka + tonic.
therefore my pubs statistics show vodka has to be girlier.

Dazzle your date with your wit, charisma and sparkling personality and they won't be wondering about your choice of drink. If that fails throw the drink at them, safe in the knowledge that a clear drink like vodka and tonic won't stain anything.

If it bothers you that much drink from a pint glass.

If it still bothers you, drink it from a flagon with "Grog" painted on the side.

Vodka straight from the freezer oh yeahhhh...
Vodka is rather nice when it's bloody cold, just how the rushki's drink it. I mainly drink Vodka & Lemonades, I'm not fussed if that's girly, if I had red bull all night it'd make me feel strange all day the next day (not doing that again) and Archers & Lemonade is even nicer, but that's more feminine.

My friend drinks martini & lemonade or pimms & lemonade but he's such an extrovert no-one seems to care, haha. :p
