My spec is
8800GTX
4GB Crucial 5300 C3 10th anny
E6600

Which mobo should i go for ;

Abit IN9 32X-MAX 680
EVGA nForce 680
Asus Commando Intel 965
or
Asus Striker Extreme

Price doesnt matter- which one is the best and has less problems?I'm thinking of getting the Striker - what do you think about it?Should i go for one of the other 3?

Thanks in advance!

I have both the 680i and the DS3 the DS3 is more stable and allows higher FSB with the 6300/6400 series cpu's

680i is a good mobo but not worth the 180 price tag.

Clock for clock the DS3 is quicker in my testing too and it cost 70 quid.

So if the price was no matter i still should go for DS3 than Striker?I really really dont like the colors of the Gigabyte mobo, any other offer?

lol I found that really funny... that surely doesn't make a difference!

Anyway, 680i have a good reputation but are 100 pound more than the competition namely P5NE-sli and DS3

These boards are all great as well, and if they were all the same price some would argue the DS3 is the best ... some the P5NE-SLi.

intel motherboards are very expensive bits of kit. But when it comes down to it, virtually none of them justify their price. nvidia 680 boards are a prime example - they do very little that a ds3 @ half the price cant.

That means i should go for Striker then :)

As i said the price of the mobo doesnt matter.

Yes, but the striker is one of the worst of all the 680i Nforce boards IMO. It may have the most copper on, the most flashing lights and the highest price.......

but its unstable, will suffer from the usual poor Asus support and is seemingly being dropped already by Asus.
