Just curious which would be the best option for the following scenario.....
This is all in my lounge.
At one end of the lounge.
Netgear N150 Wireless Router plugged into the BT master socket via this.
In another area of the lounge, I have (will have) PS3, HTPC, Squeezebox music server.
I want instead of them connecting via wireless I want to have them wired.
Which option is best.
1)
Move router to sit with equipment as above.
Then get a long modem cable connected via BT master ADSL socket to router and then plug equipment into the back of router.
or
2)
leave router where it is. Run cat5e cable from router to equipment as above and add a 'switch' enabling equipment to be plugged in that way.
Just not sure if one way is better than the other.
Either way I run a cable. Just which one.
