Hi,

For the past week I have been pricing up a new build and find the graphics card causing me a bit of a head-scratch.

For my budget most people have suggested I pick up the 560ti, as it seems a great card. Hoewever I have revised my budget a tad and can squeeze an extra 40-70 quid into a new build and considered stretching out to a gtx570 instead.

I was leaning towards the 570, had pretty much decided to go for one, but then my attention was caught by the thread here that was raving about the performance of 2 560ti cards running in SLI.

The mobo I'm about to order supports SLI and I'll be picking up a 750w PSU which also supports SLI set-ups so in the opinion of everone here should I put that extra bit of money next week when I order into getting a 570 or pick up a 560ti then slightly later doen the line, when new card are released and the prices of all current cards go down, pick up a 2nd 560ti at a cheaper price for SLI mode?

I would go for the 570 now and then another when the price drops as well. A 570 should do everything you need right now unless you play at very high resolutions or multi screen.

I have just purchased a gtx 570 and it run's crysis 2 in ultra with everything silky smooth. I wouldn't get 2 560. but as someone else said, get one 570 then once prices drop get another 570 too:D

This.

Also, don't forget the AMD 7000 series is due out in a couple / few months.

Unless you desperately need an upgrade now, then my vote would go to waiting a month or two for the next gen of cards whiich should be a lot better for the same price.
