I am currently in the process of a new build and I am having trouble deciding on what RAM to choose.
The system it will be going into is -

Gigabyte DS3 Rev 3.3
E6300 - Artic Freezer Pro

Need to know anything else just ask, and I will be clocking.
The kits I have looked at so far are -

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 - I like the sound of these and the price is nice, just heard of some problems regarding the DS3 or is that old news? I have taken a shine to these for some reason.

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit - Good, was my original choice but there now out of stock and more expensive.

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C5 800MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit -
Not sure if they will be flexible enough to get my CPU TO 3ghz or over, I may be wrong, however, they are cheap.

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 PK PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400 -
Mainly looked at these because they are on special of the week.

Anyway just wanted some help making my mind up because I have everything except the RAM, very frustrating. :)

I'd be going for the OCZ but thats just personal preference, all 4-4-4-12's would do a good job.

Its down to the choice between the -

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 PK PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400)

Just can't decide but it needs to be ordered tonight!

Just get what's cheapest. None of it is Micron RAM, but it will all perform at it's rated speeds and you don't hear about issues with OCZ or G.Skill like you seem to with GeIL (although that may be because they sell so many sets of GeIL).

I ordered the OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2, incase anyone cares.

I sort of care in a thoroughly half-caring kind of way. They look very pretty anyway ;)

Hehe yeah, they sound good aswell as look good!

Ah - if you want good sounding RAM you want that Crucial Tartan stuff - it plays "Amazing Grace" and "The Flowers of the Forest" on little electronic bagpipes as you RMA it to Micron HQ in Cumbernauld. :D
