Am currently running an Xspc kit which at its core has the X2O 750 Dual Bayres/Pump . -In summary although it does the job I have found this too noisy :(

Current loop is :-

Pump/res > 360 rad(roof) > cpu > 7950 > Pump res

Have bought a 2nd 7950 which I intend to incorporate into the loop ; along with a new 120 rad.

Intended loop to be either :-

Pump/res > 360 rad (roof) > cpu> 7950 > 7950> 120 rad (bottom)> Pump res

or

Pump res> 360(roof) > cpu > 120 (rear)> 7950>7950> pump /res

(In a corsair 800d case)

Thoughts as to which might be better?

Also decided that the old pump/res needs replacing as probably not powerful enough AND it's too noisy.

Have narrowed it down to 2/3 and would appreciate thoughts as to which would be best :-

1. The XSPC D5 Dual Bay Reservoir/Pump Combo V2

2. The OcUK Tech Lab - XSPC D5 Vario Pump & EK-D5 X-RES 100 CSQ Value Combo

3. As 2 above but with the 140 res rather than the 100 (worth the extra £10 ?)

Input much appreciated :D

SORRY - I intended to raise this in watercooling - if a mod could transfer it would be much appreciated :)

I had same kit and had same issue with noise so I bought the d5 with ek top and ek res the difference is night and day noise wise and I have enough juice to add in the sort of setup your talking about with no issue the d5 will do the job np :) although remember is you get the combo or d5 and seperate you will have to drill two 4mm wholes to fit it (no issues tho b&q sell two 4 mmm metal drill bits very cheap in a pack if you don't have any), where as bay res you don't

Thanks - it will be one of the 2 Ocuk Tech Lab combo's then :)

Do you think paying the extra £10 for the (40%) larger res. is a good idea?
