My work colleague has bought her son the very expensive PS5 monitor (about £900!) for Christmas.
£900 for a 27" IPS monitor, errgh.
She could have got him a 42" C2 OLED for that which would actually have a better picture and it's a TV as well.
I'd save up for a month and buy an LG oled.

Recommending the best gaming TV you can buy? Shame.
OP is looking at £550 55" TV's and the 55" LG C1 can be had for £300 more.
Yes, so nearly double the budget. It's like the just wait for x crowd every time someone asks what to upgrade on their PC.
Perhaps OP can give us some context on budget and when he needs to TV by, might help some more appropriate responses that way.
I’d never buy a Gucci belt. A £1,400 TV however…We're all Gucci Belt owners on here, £300 is nothing.
I suppose it all depends what you want.
I put my PS5 through a 32" LG UHD TV that I sit one yard away from and the picture is astounding, I've never tried it on my 43" Hisense 4K and have no plans to.
I'm also not a 'Gamer' so those fine details really aren't important.
