which isp for adsl... had enough of BT

I work for BT (Openreach actually) as an engineer and as such get free Bband (about the only perk we do get lol).

I have applied for reduncancy so hopefully leave 31/12/09, I am on BT unlimited but been capped last few months for reaching the 100gb limit so 5pm-11pm I am restricted to 1mb... with 3 kids all with laptops/pc's/2 xbox360 and a ps3 1mb just aint enuff.

100gb limit is a joke these days, kids use i-player, son uses sky via his 360 they all use itunes , youtube and so forth so 100gb is easily hit (seem to average about 120-130gb pcm)

so now I am going to pay gor bband I want true unlimited with decent speed/service and so forth... any suggestions?

mainly looking into sky bband/skytalk atm due to price, I am in a LLU area and live approx 2km from exchange so get pretty much max speeds (when not capped haha)

Seconded for O2/Be or Sky. I'm on Sky (also work for Openreach!) gifted the free broadband to my Dad! I don't think I could put up with the connection throttling etc!

Skys been good so far, I'm on the Mid package for £5 a month, was ok until they dropped the usage to a measly 10gb a month! May well upgrade to their unlimited soon, but I'll see how well they enforce the useage cap first.

I thought you were supposed to hear about the EVR verdict last week??
