Which ISP ... please help!

I am flatsitting for my friend with another girl and we want to get internet access set up there is already a BT line.

I was going to go with Wanadoo as they had a 6mth min contract and free calls package. Turns out my friend who is now abroad, had a contract with them and 'kindly' disconnected it for us, but hasn't paid the full 12mth outstanding line rental.

Therefore blocking anymore accounts for that BT line with Wanadoo.

We are only going to be there for a max 6mths (if I'm lucky) so didn't want a 12mth agreement. So the question is:

Does any one know:

Any other ISP's with a 6 mth min contract
Any without contact (for Broadband)

and getting desperate..

Any ISP's without a contract for a dial up account (will it be worth it though? Won't be able to do anything, but view the homepage... ha ha)

I know Freedom2surf do per month contract, however there is a £50 activation fee :/

Without a 12 month contract, you're pretty much guaranteed to have the activation fee to cough up.
Zen, Plusnet, Eclipse, Nildram, all offer monthly contracts (though I can't say I'd recommend Plusnet). ADSLguide is your friend.
