ok guys.. am currently with orange on the starter pack (joined when it was wanadoo)

lately, im getting weird problems, where my internet dies, and it wont allow me to connect for a good few hours...

also, customer support is like a chocolate teapot, and im getting fed up with all the 'people' on the other end...

so... im looking at BT and pipex, but im unsure which... i appreciate pipex doesnt have a wireless router, but thats no problem...

im looking at customer service, line speed and reliability etc...

unless there is anyone else 'known' my parents wont go with some random company they have never heard of...

thanks

no its just standard broadband however i too have just signed up and my sppeds have been a lot faster than demon befor i was downloading during the day at 400k max now i download during the day at 600-800k

well my internet is being swapped over to fast.co.uk tommrow, away from tiscali.

So i will let you know how that goes.

Fast.co.uk rated #1 ISP by isp review sites.

Amazing tech support, all call centres UK.

Will report back to you tommorow mate :)
their prices are a joke

Just swapped from F2S who are abysmal now that Pipex has taken over, to IDNet. The migration went painlessly and smoothly, well after i managed to squeeze a MAC code out of F2S anyway. There does'nt seem to be the same slowdown after 6pm like i used to get. Daytime speeds are constant too, unlike with F2s where they were all over the place. Prices are a bit more expensive but customer support is free and there is a much bigger monthly allowance. So far i am impressed.

IDnet are far better then f2s are...I swapped and havn't had a single problem since. Other ISP's I was recommended are aquiss and Zen. I'd also investigate Be and UKonline to see if you can get adsl2+ (I can get ukonline, but I refuse to pay 80quid for a router when I have an already working adsl2 one...)
